Home Page & Site Outline
Are you winning right now? Are you winning at a profound level in every area of your life which is truly important to you?
Do you think of your life in terms of a constant stream of miracles ... or something less than that? Scripture
repeatedly tells us to "Praise the Lord in all things." Do
you live a life which is filled with Praise? Are you thankful for ... and
joyful about ... everything which is in your life? Or do you tend to be a font of
complaints?
What about
the people around you? Are they winning at a profound level in their lives?
How effective are you? When you participate with others, does the level of
profound winning in their lives tend to increase?
In order for
us to experience profound levels of winning in our lives, there are things which we must know.
This site is about that knowledge. There are also things ...
truly essential things ... which are necessary to the experience that our lives are filled
with purpose, such that our presence matters. This site is about
those essential things.
I. Introducing the WinCrafting
Possibility
WinCrafting
is an emerging possibility in life; it is also an emerging profession.
It is profoundly creative, instead of reactive. It does not
aspire to "managing the unwanted," but rather to creating the things which
people deeply hope for and aspire to! The focus of
WinCrafting is the emerging miraculous, the possibility that we live in the midst of
great beauty (whether or not we can see that beauty in any given moment), and
that the miraculous is always taking form in and through us, as well as around
us! WinCrafting advocates that we take part in that processs,
instead of some lesser process! In that sense, WinCrafting is not
interested in "reasonable" results. It is interested in the very
most which is available, whether in a specific situation, such as a "conflict,"
or in the construction of an extraordinarily beautiful life, over time, by every child of
God! As a profession, WinCrafting is in the process of replacing the reactive
professions, such as law and therapy, especially in the relationship of those professions
to "conflict." (It also provides a profoundly effective alternative
to the reactive approaches usually taken by traditional medical practices, in that
WinCrafting addresses the creation of health, instead of management of ill
health.)

II. HOME*schooling:
Education "On
Purpose"
HOME*schooling
is the process of discerning a child's *purpose* (or your own) and educating *that*!!!
Have you ever heard the phrase "Get a Life?" Well, that
phrase derives from a culture in which it is not clear to everyone that God gives every
person a purpose. We have a life ... but most of us haven't
been taught to notice that fact, and to live in a manner consistent with
that fact! Do you know what your purpose is? How about the
purpose of each of your children? Until a person knows her purpose,
or his purpose, it can be very difficult to make effective choices about
many of the things which are very important in life. For
example: What should each of our children study? What career
should our children pursue? What relationships should our children
aspire to (because those relationships would be truly forwarding of our children's
purpose)? Of course, we cannot lead our children to places where we,
ourselves, do not go. Accordingly, it becomes imperative, if our children are to
live purpose-filled lives, that we engage in the process of discernment of our own
purpose, and that we live our lives in a manner consistent with our purpose!
WinCrafting is about leading the lives which we are meant
to live!
A Death, "Grabbing Back Our Lives," and (of course!)
HOME*schooling! This
article is about Polly, our extraordinarily courageous "daughter # 2." One
bright and sunny afternoon, when she was 14, she walked away from the public school she
had been attending, and its "one size fits all" curriculum, and took
responsibility for her own education! Read about the way in which she began to
discern her purpose, and then began to express that purpose by immersing herself
in the serious study of photography. Discover how her passion for photography led
her, at the age of 17, to travel to India ... and then to travel, via hundreds of hours on
buses and trains, all through India ... from the very southern tip of the Indian
subcontinent, to India's northernmost reaches, all the way up to the Himalayas!
Polly's offering
... accompanied by her prayer that you will be blessed by seeing some of the images which
our Lord has allowed her to share with you. Our family gives thanks to God for
giving Polly the soul and "eye" of a photographer, and for allowing us to
participate with her education in such a way that her time has been well and wisely used,
and her gift has been profoundly nurtured, such that her purpose has begun to manifest and
bear fruit at such an early age:
III. WHAT MUST A PERSON KNOW, if profound winning is to
be their lot in life?
Well, of
course, it is totally important to spend lots and lots of time with Scripture!
While there may not be enough time in a single human lifetime to learn all that
Scripture can teach us ... we can aspire to the development and deepening of our personal
relationship with our Lord, and to the expansion of our appreciation of some of the really
fundamental things, such as salvation, faith, God's grace ... and, of course,
love!
From the
WinCrafting point of view, there is a question which tends to be really
helpful, whether one is hoping for the emergence of the miraculous in a particular
situation, or in the development of one's life over time. That question is:
*What Do You REALLY
Want?*
It's
amazing how infrequently people ask that question! But even when that
question does get asked, at least in some form, quite a bit can get in
the way of our arrival at the most powerful possible answers! It's a
simple fact that, in order to really answer a question like that, there are some
things which a person must know! In the absence
of that knowledge, there's a serious tendency for things not to go as well as we'd
like! Now, of course, there are lots of ways a person can go about
obtaining the necessary knowledge. We offer the following as an efficient ...
and, hopefully, relatively enjoyable ... way to obtain some of the knowledge we're talking
about! What follows is a link to the contents page of a book which has been
being written for a while. You'll find a few pages of introduction, followed
by the eight chapters which have been completed so far. We hope you will find
the contents edifying, and also useful!

Do You REALLY Want?*, a book which is still a work in progress
(your comments, questions, etc., are welcome and invited!)
We truly
do welcome your participation with us concerning the things you read in the manuscript
(or, for that matter, any of the other things which this site is about)!
Feel free to drop us an e-mail, or write to us at our "snail mail"
address! There have been so many people, over the years, who have
participated with us in the development of the WinCrafting domain, and they have
contributed an extraordinary amount to what has been becoming available to our Brothers
and Sisters! So ... feel free to join in!!!
